Camarillo Endoscopy Center
Patient safety has always been a top priority at Camarillo Endoscopy Center and as we face this unprecedented time, patients can be assured that it remains our top priority. While we continue coordination and communication with local, state and federal health officials, our Center is well-equipped to resume medical care and provide outpatient endoscopy procedures in a safe manner. Our facility has spent countless hours to identify and implement best practices for patient and staff protection during this pandemic. Be assured that we have put in place extensive protocols for patient health and safety including:
• Prioritization of scheduled patients – We are managing our patient schedule differently to control the flow of patients and staff onsite throughout the day. This may result in procedure scheduling modifications to allow for a safer operating environment.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE)– Our facility is equipped with appropriate “personal protective equipment” for our staff. All staff are screened daily with symptom and temperature checks and maintain appropriate use of PPE.
• Patients will also be required to wear face masks on site as well.
• Patient screening – Our staff will perform individual assessments for COVID-19 risk or symptoms prior to the patient’s scheduled procedure.
• Physical distancing – Patients and staff will adhere to the 6 feet social distancing guidelines. Additionally, seats have been spaced farther apart to minimize contact.
• Room sanitization – We have planned for extended turnover times between patient cases to allow for adequate room sanitation and air exchanges between procedures.
• Visitor limitations – No guests or visitors are allowed in the endoscopy center except for those patients who may need physical assistance.
In the quickly changing coronavirus environment, we will continue to work in partnership with local health officials and adhere to state and federal guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control.
